180° South

Inspired by Yvon Chouinard’s and Doug Tompkin’s 10,000 mile road trip to Patagonia in 1968, 180° South is an adventure film told through the eyes of writer/surfer/climber Jeff Johnson (Bend to Baja) during a six month voyage to South America to climb a mythical peak. The film features the surfing of consummate waterman and source of beard jealousy the world over, Keith Malloy and is produced by Woodshed Films (Thicker Than Water, A Broke Down Melody, Shelter) in association with Patagonia, naturally. It isn’t out until Spring 2010, but we’re looking forward to checking it out.

Drew Innis

A New Englander through and through, Drew grew up in Connecticut / New Hampshire and got over educated in Boston. He also lived on a beach in Southern California for some years. Film, photography, music and literature monopolize his time these days. Drew lives in Brooklyn, NY, eats too many cheeseburgers at the Commodore and hopes to carry on simply one day on a big piece of land by the sea without the computer or YouTube.
