American Craftsmen – Del Mar

This short portrait of Del Mar shaper, Dave Allee of Almond Surfboards and Designs is an inspiring story of craftsmanship in the modern, industrial era of surfboard manufacturing. The film follows Dave as he explains his method and craft while he shapes a classic signature longboard. This seems to be the first in a series of short films by LASCO (Los Angeles Shoe Company) to show small American manufacturers that focus on craftsmanship.
