This is why the terrorists hate us – or at least why locals hate hipster city slickers. These new asymmetric Rick Malwitz shapes done in collaboration with NYC agency, Chandelier Creative cost $3,500 each. Some very classy boards, they sure are purdy though! Malwitz is an art director / animator more recently turned high end surfboard shaper. Check out his site for some more limited edition beauties. They may be pricey, but they also come with weekend invites to Chandelier’s Surf Shack out in Montauk, so it’s actually probably more of a good deal on a summer weekend rental in Montauk than a new stick!
