Christopher Makos – Polaroids Exhibition

Super inspiring showing of his Polaroid collections during the 70s and 80s. Christopher actually introduced the Polaroid technique to Warhol, who ofcourse made it famous. I’ve always loved the instant film process and the look of Polaroids, it’s been very difficult to watch it all die out before our eyes over the past few years. Christopher’s shots are so clean and pure, they epitomize what the rest of us us who shoot Polaroids are striving to achieve.

The show itself will begin August 3rd at Clic Gallery, 23 Newtown Lane in East Hampton. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, August 7th from 6 to 8 pm. Makos will be at the opening reception to sign copies of the accompanying photobook, CHRISTOPHER MAKOS POLAROIDS (published by Photology), which features an introduction by Calvin Klein.
