Golden Gate Camper

This hippie mobile is crazy – not sure if she’s street legal, but it sure is awesome. Perfect idea for surfers looking for a little day trip action to a local break (it has a 10 mile range and goes up to 20 mph.). Fits a full quiver and a couple buds, not to mention there’s room inside for cooking with a sink and stove, a toilet, and a bed. Built by San Francisco artist Jay Nelson, the Golden Gate is made out of a couple electric bikes and an artfully crafted combination of plywood, epoxy resin and fiberglass. All of the controls are in the steering wheel. The driver sits cross legged while operating the vehicle.
