Last week, the eastern seaboard saw the most coastal devastation in over a century. A lot happened; surfers scored some of the biggest and best waves the east coast has ever seen, lives were also lost, New York City went without power or transportation for days, and thousands of homes and lives were destroyed while the clean up costs soaring through the billions. Here is a collection of the good, the bad and the ugly so far in our recap in Sandy’s wake.
It’s hard to just look at all this stuff on your computer screen. It’s a feeling of smallness and helplessness. But at the same time, there are ways you can help other than just manual labor in the flooded trenches. Here are a few charities and other ways you can donate to help the victims rebuild their their lives:
A goofy-footed graphic designer who hails from the first state, Delaware. After attending Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL then graduating from SCAD in Savannah, GA with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration, Matt moved to NYC and found work as a freelance designer and art director. In 2006 he moved west to Venice, CA where he co-founded ITAL/C Studio and now resides a bit further north in Oxnard.
