Andy Iron’s death was nothing but tragic. He left behind a wife, an unborn child, a brother, a loving family and a sport that championed him. It was first reported by his sponsor Billabong that his cause of death was from dengue fever. A controversial Outside Magazine article by Brad Melekian later fueled rumors that drug abuse was involved. The New York Times has since reported that heart attack and drugs were the official cause of death.
