Pete Tresselt Interview

The boys at Almond Surfboards recently sat down with surf pioneer and unspoken legend, Pete Tresselt in his home down in Laguna Beach, CA. Pete lived in Makaha in the 1950′s and shared a Quonset hut with some very familiar names in surf history for only $35 bucks a month (split 4 ways!). He lived off of fresh speared fish and rice & beans and later bought his first lobster fishing boat from Renny Yater. All surfers need to celebrate stories like this told from the mouths of those who paved the way for all of us now. Our present surf culture and way of life and would not exist if not for guys like Pete, a true surfer & craftsman.
