Professional – Eric Arakawa

This video piece focuses on surfboard designer, Eric Arakawa’s early inspiration’s into the shaping business and how he keeps the cycle going through mentoring the next generation of craftsmen. I have personally had Eric shape me 3 different custom boards and every time I have been shocked at how truly “custom” they are. Eric himself actually takes the time to call me every time to talk about what I am looking for, what kind of waves I surf, ect. A conversation can go a lot further than just filling out a form and that’s the level of intimacy you get when dealing with Eric.
