If you spend a lot of time surfing in New England you’ve probably been to Ruggles or if you’re not from the Northeast you’ve probably heard of the legendary break below the mansion lined cliffs of Newport. This Rhode Island jewel needs your help. The State of Rhode Island is proposing a construction plan for the Cliff Walk restoration project that will destroy the historic break. The plan proposes extending (4) 200ft x 40ft jetties right into the lineup and on the reef at Ruggles. Follow the link and sign the petition to help stop the plan.
