When I was in the 8th grade, my prized possession was my signature Stussy hat (next to my 8-ball Stussy hat of course). Shawn Stussy’s clothing label was the epitome of cool in the early nineties, it’s interesting to see that he came from a shaping background. Even more interesting to see that is where he is now taking the company; back to it’s surfing roots. Apparently the boards are big in Japan, I’ve yet to see one stateside, but you can order them straight from the S/Double site.
A goofy-footed graphic designer who hails from the first state, Delaware. After attending Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL then graduating from SCAD in Savannah, GA with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration, Matt moved to NYC and found work as a freelance designer and art director. In 2006 he moved west to Venice, CA where he co-founded ITAL/C Studio and now resides a bit further north in Oxnard.
