From the crazy North Sea filmakers who brought us the glimpses into Doggerland via Uncommon Ideals, now comes a color-washed ode to the fickle North Sea just in time for the London Surf Film Festival. In the words of Chris McClean, “I wanted to show the euphoria and frustration of scoring or missing an all too rare chance encounter with a capricious break. I’m always intrigued by an atmosphere where chance and servitude meet on equal terms. The North Sea’s anarchic disregard for schedule effects ones own wonder and involvement in the blink of an eye.”
A goofy-footed graphic designer who hails from the first state, Delaware. After attending Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL then graduating from SCAD in Savannah, GA with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration, Matt moved to NYC and found work as a freelance designer and art director. In 2006 he moved west to Venice, CA where he co-founded ITAL/C Studio and now resides a bit further north in Oxnard.
