The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Opening Titles

The opening title sequence for David Fincher’s version of Stieg Larsson’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” created by Venice-based Blur Studio is a mix of live animation with abstract imagery and visual metaphor, all set to the haunting sound of Karen O and Trent Reznor’s cover of “Immigrant Song.” There are nightmarish visual cues from all 3 of the chapters in the trilogy, from wasps, flames, a dragon, computer hardware and scary dudes, all tied together with the jet black, oil-like ooze. Very well done and seriously disturbing, just like the films.
