The Shaper

Thanks to the London Surf Film Festival and their Shorties competition we’ve been exposed to a bunch of great little surf films and filmmakers over the last couple weeks. Here’s the latest discovery: “The Shaper”. In it you’ll meet Chief: a shaper, surfer and fisherman who’s life has been “one long ride that’s yet to closeout”. The short was wonderfully created by Jeremy Joyce, Rich Pearn and Rob Lockyear. Don’t cheat yourself – give it a watch. Chief’s a treat.

Drew Innis

A New Englander through and through, Drew grew up in Connecticut / New Hampshire and got over educated in Boston. He also lived on a beach in Southern California for some years. Film, photography, music and literature monopolize his time these days. Drew lives in Brooklyn, NY, eats too many cheeseburgers at the Commodore and hopes to carry on simply one day on a big piece of land by the sea without the computer or YouTube.
