TSJ Shorts: Runman, Part 1

All I ever knew of Runman before was few spliced together old clips in Volcom videos like Frankenplasm. The scenes were gritty and badass – it was how I pictured surf life in California as an adolescent. Little did I know, Runman was a full on surf accessory company in the 80s. They also did a lot of great surf movies, which were banned by many of the surf shops who bought them. This latest short from The Surfers Journal recounts the history of the brand with it’s two founders, Morgan Runyon and Ray Kleinman.
