Cheryl Humphreys

(b. 1986, Ithaca, NY) received her BFA from Otis College of Art & Design in 2008. She has attended residencies at Otra Vox, Los Angeles, CA and Pocoapoco, Oaxaca, Mexico and has solo exhibitions at Sarah Brook Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Otra Vox, Los Angeles, CA; and Paul Loya Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Group exhibitions include the Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach, CA; Ace Hotel, Brooklyn, NY; and other spaces locally and internationally. Humphreys currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Cheryl Humphreys’ undulating colors and elliptical topographies deliver a sensory experience. Invoking subtle, highly considered strategies, the artist seeks to generate physical calm in viewers of the work. As the artist’s compositions shift in hue or size, the forms and textures within them shift too, not unlike the ocean does, naturally, upon entering a cove.

Bailey Elder

Bailey is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Ludlow, KY. Her work stretches several mediums including graphic design, illustration, paint, animation and textile design. Working primarily in abstraction, letting color and form guide her processes, she is interested in translating the connections of natural and spiritual realms. Bailey was born in Louisville, KY where she received her BFA in Communication Art and Design. “Tuning into myself and letting source be my guide is most important and inspiring. I’m nothing but a vessel for the universe and feel whole heartedly that everything is one and unified.”
