Exhibit 005
Golden Daze

Daniella Manini, Nico Guilis, Sally England Ryder Alves

“Golden Daze” is a group art show featuring the paintings & illustrations of Daniella Manini, the photography of Nico Guilis, and the fiber art of Sally England. This exhibit represents our favorite time of the year; when the weather is perfect, the coastal crowds fade, the waves turn on, and harvest season begins. Despite working in different mediums, these three female artists share a common stylistic theme throughout this body of work: it is colorful and playful, yet elevated and sophisticated. Inspired by the past, but modern in context. Casual and spontaneous, but flawlessly executed. Golden Daze will be on view from 09/16/23 — 10/22/23 at the Indoek gallery in Ventura, California.

Daniella Manini

Peruvian-born Daniella Manini is a California-based multidisciplinary artist. During her 20 years in the industry, she has worked with many brands including Billabong, Prana, Patagonia, Spiritual Gangster, Amuse Society, Vuori, Reef, Volcom. Her work has appeared in books, on hard Kombucha cans, skateboards, surfboards, restaurant murals, wine labels, shoes, and more. A self-taught artist and designer with an education in advertising, Daniella’s portfolio bridges fashion, retail, interior design, surf culture, and media. Her unique perspective balances whimsy with vintage flair, producing fresh, tongue-in-cheek designs. She draws her main inspiration from her love for the sea, her children, and the environment. She currently lives in Ventura, CA and multitasks between kids, creative director and designer of her print shop and a full time job at Patagonia.

The work for this show is inspired by the colorful coastal aesthetic she was immersed in through recent travels to Italy, Barcelona and the south of France, the peak of summer and golden days.
